Selah Morning is a service of Leaven Works LLC. These terms govern your use of Selah Morning. By signing up or using the service, you agree to these terms.
The service
Selah Morning is a text-message-based prayer and scripture service. We send daily prayer texts grounded in scripture, respond to messages you send, and provide related formation content. The service is informational and devotional. It is not a substitute for the local church, pastoral care, medical advice, mental health treatment, legal counsel, or any other professional service.
SMS program
Selah Morning operates as an SMS messaging program. By enrolling, you consent to receive recurring text messages from Selah Morning, including a daily morning prayer initiation and replies to messages you send.
Message frequency varies based on your engagement. Message and data rates may apply.
You may reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. After STOP, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further messages. Reply HELP at any time to receive support information, or contact us at hello@selahmorning.com.
Carriers and mobile providers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
This SMS program is operated under our A2P 10DLC campaign registered with The Campaign Registry. Selah Morning does not share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Selah Morning. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the contact information you provide is your own.
Subscription and billing
Selah Morning is a paid subscription service of Leaven Works LLC. The first thirty days are a free trial, and no payment method is collected at signup. After the trial, the service costs $9.99 per month or $69.99 per year, billed through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time by contacting us at hello@selahmorning.com or through any cancellation flow we provide, and your service continues through the end of the paid period. If you do not subscribe when your trial ends, the daily service stops. Reply STOP at any time to end all messages.
Refunds
If you subscribe and change your mind, we offer a full refund within seven days of your first charge. After that, we generally do not prorate refunds for the unused portion of a billing cycle, though we may make exceptions at our discretion.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Selah Morning for personal, devotional purposes consistent with the service’s character. You agree not to use the service to harass others, distribute the messages without permission for commercial purposes, attempt to access other users’ accounts, or interfere with the operation of the service.
Fair use and service limits
Selah Morning is offered for ordinary personal devotional use. To keep the service reliable and sustainable for everyone, we may set reasonable limits on usage, including the number of messages sent or received in a given period, and we may adjust those limits over time. We apply limits in good faith and aim to set them so that ordinary use is never affected.
If your usage reaches a limit, the service may pause additional messages until the following day or the next billing period. Where possible we will let you know that a limit has been reached rather than stopping without notice. We may also throttle, suspend, or end service for use that is abusive, automated, fraudulent, or that places an unreasonable burden on the service. These measures protect the service and do not entitle you to a refund except as described in the Refunds section or as required by law.
Pastoral and theological content
Selah Morning’s content draws on confessional Christian sources and aims for theological care and biblical fidelity. The service is not the church and does not administer sacraments, absolution, or church discipline. For matters of personal sin, church membership, or pastoral care that belong to ordained officers, we will direct you to your local church and your pastor. If you are in a mental health crisis or considering harming yourself or others, please contact local emergency services or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
Privacy
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms.
Intellectual property
The content of the service, including the prayers and scripture commentary generated for you, is provided for your personal devotional use. The service’s underlying software, design, and brand are owned by Leaven Works LLC and may not be reproduced or redistributed without permission. Scripture quotations within the service are used under fair use or under license from their respective publishers.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” We make no warranties about the uninterrupted availability of the service or the suitability of any specific message for any specific situation. Generated content is shaped by confessional standards and aims to be biblically grounded and pastorally careful. Messages are produced with the assistance of large language models, with theological guardrails encoded in the system that generates them. Even so, generated content is not a substitute for the teaching of your local church, the counsel of a qualified pastor, or scripture itself.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Selah Morning’s liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email or text before the changes take effect.
